If Michelle Kosinski’s canoe had sprung a leak on NBC’s “Today” show Friday, she didn’t have much to worry about.

In one of television’s inadvertently funny moments, the NBC News correspondent was paddling in a canoe during a live report about flooding in Wayne, N.J. While she talked, two men walked between her and the camera, making it apparent that the water where she was floating was barely ankle-deep.

Matt Lauer struggled to keep a straight face, joking about the “holy men” who were walking on water.

“Have you run aground yet?” Katie Couric asked.

“Why walk when you can ride?” Kosinski replied.

Later, an NBC News spokeswoman explained that Kosinski had been riding in deeper water near an overflowing river down the street, but there were concerns that the current was too strong for her.

“It’s not like we were trying to pass it off as something it wasn’t,” spokeswoman Lauren Kapp said.

Oh ya, Oktoberfest rocked. I had 3 liters of Bitburger beer and 3 brautwurst with saurkraut. I was so hammered, it was great. Andy and Kelly were there and so was Joe and Michelle, then 3 other people. I forget their names, I met them for the first time last night and wasn’t in any shape to remember things. Everyone had a great time. I’m going to have to go again.

The next morning wasn’t so fun for Jen because I had some serious morning thunder. I thought it was hilarious but she didn’t seem to think so.

Waiting - I saw this movie today while I was trying to relax and recover from last nights festivities. It was fricken hilarious. I was laughing the entire time. It was so damn funny. The movie is pretty raunchy so if you aren’t into that then stay at home and watch some Disney flick.

It’s really slow right now because everyone is trying to access it … but it looks pretty cool. An easy way to keep all of your RSS feeds together. Yet another wonderful toy from Google that uses AJAX.

Oh ya, it’s that time again. Oktoberfest is here. Tomorrow Jen and I are going to go to the Oktoberfest being held at The Phoenix Club in Anaheim. Lots of beer, food, music, and dancing (if you are into dancing). They even have a shooting range where you can shoot these pellet guns. Nothing says fun like getting drunk and shooting a gun! For those that will not be able to attend Oktoberfest this year, I will drink for you. Because sometimes you just need to get so drunk you go blind, stumble around, and puke. Of course it wasn’t me that it happened to, it was a very good friend of mine … seriously.

Important note: Jen and I had our first date at this Oktoberfest in 2003. We went last year and are going this year, one because it rocks, but two because it was our first date. Awww special, cute moments! Love you Jen. Meh meh meh!

Go and order it right now! I just ordered a copy of it and can’t wait till I get it. My brother already has the DVD and said it is hilarious. R. Lee Ermey is so damn funny in that show, I can’t wait to see how the bloopers are.
