Tomorrow is moving day
6 September 2005 @ 11:17amTomorrow Jen and I are moving to a new apartment. Our current apartment complex raised the rent if we wanted to renew. They now want us to pay $1490 per month … YA RIGHT. So we checked out this complex that was just built right next to ours. We liked it and are moving in tomorrow. The apartment is smaller, but that’s ok. The rent is only $1120 per month. We spent this past weekend packing things up and cleaning up the apartment. Now we get to move everything to the new one … lucky us.
I moved all the services over to the new apartment and everything went smooth until I got to Verizon. Apparently Verizon is so booked that they couldn’t turn our phone on until the 15th and we couldn’t get our DSL on until the 27th. There is no way I would be able to survive without DSL that long. I wouldn’t be able to play World of Warcraft nor would I be able to do any business with my company Discovery Web Design. I spoke with some supervisor at Verizon and explained how I wouldn’t be able to run my business for that long and I couldn’t have that. I left off the World of Warcraft part because I think they wouldn’t have taken me as seriously. Verizon said the best they could do would be to turn on both the phone and the DSL on the 12th. OK, I can deal with that.
