70’s Party!

28 June 2005 @ 10:36pm

So I went to a 70’s party with my girlfriend last saturday. It was alot of fun. I didn’t dress up all that much, ohh well. Getting drunk off of Irish Car Bombs with friends … what could have been better. I’m hoping they throw another party soon. I will be there for sure! Cept maybe not a 70’s theme … or any theme really. Just friends, music, and alcohol.

The Lewinsky and Kaczynski Limerick

24 June 2005 @ 4:04pm

The Washington Post runs a weekly contest in its Style section called the “Style Invitational”. The requirements this week were to use the two words Lewinsky (The Intern) and Kaczynski (the Unabomber) in the same limerick. The following winning entries, remember, were printed in the newspaper.

Third place:
There once was a gal named Lewinsky
Who played on a flute like Stravinsky
‘Twas “Hail to the Chief”
On this flute made of beef
That stole the front page from Kaczynski.

Second place:
Said Clinton to young Ms. Lewinsky,
“We don’t want to leave clues like Kaczynski,
Since you made such a mess,
Use the hem of your dress
And please wipe that stuff off of your chinsky.”

And the winning entry:
Lewinsky and Clinton have shown
What Kaczynski must surely have known
That an intern is better
Than a bomb in a letter
When deciding how best to be blown.

I dunno, I think that the 1st and 3rd place limericks should have been swapped. I totally think the 3rd place one should have been 1st.

Life is good

So I’ve started my new job. It’s great. I think I am really going to enjoy it. Now that I have quit my old job and started my new one I figured I could let you guys know who I worked for previously.

Chaparral Motorsports

Yes, they suck. They lied to me during the interview, they don’t know what they want. They come up with unreasonable ideas. They want their site to look like a newbie made it. Ahh, it feels much better to say that.

Lots of new stuff

19 June 2005 @ 8:03pm

Since my new job starts tomorrow I needed to go out and buy some clothes for it. My other jobs required pants and a shirt, and as long as it wasn’t offensive it was ok. Now I need to wear slacks, a shirt and tie, and actually look presentable. So I bought a ton of new clothes for the job. They should get me by for a while. I also went out and bought an MP3 player so I had some music at work. I bought an iRiver iFP-899. It holds 1GB of music, and I can listen to FM radio as well. It can also record from a mic or from the radio. Right now I am ripping a bunch of CDs to put on it. Ahhh, I can’t wait to start work tomorrow. It’s going to be alot of fun.

You can listen to Billy Corgan’s new album online before it comes out in stores. Just go to the link below.

Listen to The Future Embrace

I don’t think it sounds bad at all. I like the new album and hope that Billy will release more. Hopefully I will be able to make it to one of his concerts when he comes by LA.
